I am a landscape photographer based in the north-west of England with particular interest in The Forest of Bowland, The Yorkshire dales and Scotland
My interest in landscape photography stretches back over forty years, during which time i have had many images and articles on monochrome printing published.
My passion for monochrome photography in particular goes back to the 1970's when I constructed my first darkroom in the family bathroom. Quite soon after that in order to save my marriage i built one at the bottom of the garden. This soon led to many awards including "Ilford Monochrome Printer of The Year" in 1996.
I have since been carried screaming and shouting into the digital age and with the darkroom gone I now print digitally. Not as some will say an easier option, simply a whole different set of skills.
Since retirement I have returned to entering National and International Salons, some of the many awards they have gained are listed below.
